The Links Incorporated Historically Black Colleges & Universities – Community College Collaborative

 

 General Program Information

 

Overview

 

        In an effort to increase student success and graduation from both community college and Historically Black Colleges & Universities, The Links Incorporated has partnered with Austin Community College (ACC) and 

Huston-Tillotson University (HT) to establish the Historically Black Colleges and Universities – Community College Collaborative (HBCU-CCC). Participants in the program will receive the following benefits: 

 

• Scholarship opportunities

 

• Continued small class sizes

 

• Access to city-wide resource referrals

 

• Immediate access to a 4-year institution

 

• Ongoing mentoring for educational and 

 

• Support programs and activities

 

• HT Admission Application Fee waiver

 

 

Eligibility Requirements – Students Less than 30 Credit Hours

 

ACC students with less than 30 credit hours who are interested in the HBCU-CCC program must meet the 

 

following criteria to be considered for participation in the program:

 

Current ACC Students

 

• 2.5 High School Grade Point Average or

 

• 2.5 ACC Grade Point Average if student has 

 

completed at least one semester of college level courses or

 

• 860 SAT (Combined V=M) or 

 

18 ACT (Composite) only for ACC students 

 

who wish to transfer prior to obtaining 30 credit hours

 

• Completed Application

 

• Enrollment in Program that will Transfer to Huston-Tillotson University

 

• Satisfactory Interview

 

• Signed Letter of Intent

 

• United States Citizen
